MINE GEOLOGIST- (1 POST)
Reporting Line: Geology Project Geologist
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga
Region.
Roster: Rotation Status (28 days on/14 days off)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
• Daily Geology report and waste development reports completed with all
collected data.
• Sampling Data entered into database
• Samples dispatched to lab
• Map back and walls and sample all active ore headings
• Map and sample all Alimak raises
• Active waste development faces are mapped
• Train and Coach Assistants in on Job tasks
• Compliance against the 6 ABG behaviors
• All incidents are reported
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-
Qualifications: -
• Bachelor of Science in Geology; Diploma or its Equivalent from an
accredited institution.
• Good computer skills, MS-Office software Acquire Database software.
Experience:
• 2 years geology experience in mining and exploration.
• Underground Mining or gold narrow vein.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN – (1 POST)
Reporting Line: Occupational Health and Medical Services Section
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga
Roster: Rotation Status (28 days on /14 days off)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
• Maintain registration to practice, in Tanzania as Laboratory Technician
• Perform basic laboratory tests, as per equipment provided at BGML for general, medical check-up and occupational health programs as directed by clinic Doctor
• Provide supportive laboratory services on an emergency basis to the local community, as directed by and to the level permitted by the BGML Senior Medical Doctor
• Provide accurate laboratory results
• Maintains a record for checking equipment and maintains equipment
according to manufacturers standards
• Responsible for knowing how to use and maintain laboratory equipment
• Record daily, weekly &, monthly statistics.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Tanzanian OHS regulations and corporate codes of practice
• Responsible for the safe handling and disposal of all specimens and equipment used in testing those specimens.
• Prepare and submit a monthly report containing accurate information
about laboratory equipment.
• Secures all documentation in a safe environment. Has signed a non-
disclosure clause.
• Performs similar duties as assigned by the manager
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-
Qualifications:
• A Graduate from a recognized medical institution providing Academy-level or better laboratory training.
• Fully qualified to practice as a Laboratory Technician in Tanzania through the government approval process.
Experience:
• A working experience as laboratory technician for at least 3 years
Computer literate, MS Excel, M$ Word, MS PowerPoint, MS
• Knowledge of Tanzanian customs and legal process
Excellent knowledge in all aspects of Laboratory practice and demonstrate technical ability to operate Laboratory medical equipment's.
