The Role

As the Application Specialist you are ideally placed close to key customers and work with the ECC (Engineering competency center) for demonstrations, customer projects, measurements, customer events and internal- and external training. You will support our local salesmen to sell gear milling and compressor screw solutions, by having deep technical knowledge, very strong business acumen and unmatched persuasion skills.

Key Performance Areas

• Contact salesmen to have them look for opportunities in their accounts as well as responds to salesmen's request for support
• Process gears and compressor screw parts and recommends the best overall tooling solutions
• Take part in machine investments projects
• Builds strong connections to local sales organization and salesmen and defines key customers and develops and execute the local gear milling business plan
• Works in close collaboration with SAM organization to drive sales at those accounts
• Qualifies and brings customer projects
• Lead the customer projects from start to finish together with the salesman
• Participates in trade shows
• Monitors, reports, and communicates progress and results
• Shares knowledge with fellow specialist as well as with the global application specialists

Your Profile

• BA/BS/MSc Degree in Engineering, or solid experience and MBA
• A Strong drive to push through and achieve results
• Very tenacious and with attention to detail
• Knowledge in gear milling/compressor screw techniques – or a strong willingness to learn fast
• Strong business acumen an excellent sales ability
• A positive mind set and high ability to adapt to a changing environment
