Twiga Bancorp Limited (TBCL) is a fast growing Non-Bank Financial Institution established under the Banking and Financial Institution Act (1991). The Institution has five Branches, two in Dar es Salaam and one each in Arusha, Dodoma and Mwanza, and sub -branch at the Julius Nyerere International Air port and Nyerere Memorial Academy Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam as well as a service outlet in Bunda. The Institution is in the process of managing changes by reengineering its organizational structure, introducing new products and reinforcing efficiency and professionalism in its operations. The bank bas recently migrated to a state-of-the art banking software.

In order to effect the envisaged changes, the Institution invites suitable applicants to fill the following posts.

Branch Manager 
Location > Dar Es Salaam 

APPOINTING AUTHORITY: Board of Directors.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Operations
SALARY SCALE: TBSS. II

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of Master's Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economic, or Post Graduate Diploma in Financial or equivalent from a recognized Institution with not less than 9 years working experience 3 of which should be at Senior Managerial level. Wide experience in Banking and Strong Interpersonal relationship capable of enhancing the image of the Branch / Institution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIILITIES:
The Branch Manager is responsible to the Head of Operations for smooth running of the day to day branch activities.
Ensuring efficient and economical administration of the Branch.
Ensuring that safety and security of Branch assets is maintained all the
time.
Controlling overall activities of the Branch and ensuring efficient
services to customers.
Ascertaining that all branch returns including daily activities summary are prepared on daily, weekly and monthly basis and submitted to Head Office and Bank of Tanzania promptly.
Carrying out TBCL policies and ensuring that all staff under him/her joins in carrying out the instructions.
With assistance of the Branch Accountant act as joint custodian of TBCL branch assets and Co-Signatories to the TBCL branch local and foreign accounts with other Banks.
Recommend to the HOP on appointment, promotion or removal of subordinate staff.
Ascertaining that adequate staff rotation and on job training age
carried.
Promoting healthy relations between management and staff as well as maintaining sound public and staff relations.
With the assistance of Branch Accountant to deal with matters of General accounting and administration of the Branch.
Opening and examining all mail from Head Office and signing all outgoing Head Office and other correspondences.
Scrutinizing daily all branch vouchers and records to ensure that the day's activities have been properly carried out and accounted for.
Carrying out periodic surprise snap checks of cashiers.
Advising the HOP on how to expand the TBCL's business.
Appraise staff performance in the branch.
Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned by Head of Operations

 Credit Appraisal Analyst Manager 
Location > Dar Es Salaam
APPOINTING AUTHORITY: Board of Directors.
SALARY SCALE: TBSS. 11
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Credit

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS;
Holder of First Degree in Banking, Economics, Finance, Accountancy or equivalent from a recognized Institution with not less than 5 years relevant working experience in Credit Administration in a reputable firm, 2 of which should be at Senior Managerial level.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
To process loan applications promptly and put up appropriaterecommendations to enable the approving authorities make objective decisions. In doing so they shall take into consideration the prospective borrowers' credit standing, business and financial viability, management competency, industrial situation, collateral support and potential income to the institution.
Discuss specific underwriting concerns ; manage the bank's alarm and high risk audit for new loans and maturing high risk approval for loans.
Gathering information and reading financial briefings
Assessing analyzing and interpreting complicated financial information
Undertaking risk assessment analysis
Visiting clients
Keeping company credit exposure within set risk bearing limits
Helping to enhance the quality of credit applications
Making recommendation about procedural policy changes
Solicits prospective loan applicants, conducts interviews with existing and prospective borrower on credit relationship, and collects loan application and other credit documents from
borrowers.

 Computer Programmer/Systems Analyst I /Network Administrator II

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology; Telecommunication; Electrical Engineering; or related computer studies with two years working experience in IT field in Banking Industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in designing and coding small system jobs for users.
Assists staff in debugging programs and programming systems to handle more elaborate jobs
Installs standard software
Troubleshoots hardware/software problems
Develops and Maintains Website and intranet

Computer Hardware Engineer II
Location > Dar Es Salaam

RESPONSIBLE TO: Computer Hardware Engineer I

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; Telecommunication; Electrical Engineering; or related computer studies with two years working experience in IT field in
Banking Industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design programme logic.
Create, maintain up to date progammes.
Develop standards and specifications for data bases.
Design new programmes to meet end users needs.
Assist end users to design and update their progammes.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Bank Officer (x 3)

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
Holders of Degree in Banking, Finance Management, Economics, Accountancy or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sorting, collecting and posting of vouchers.
Recording incoming and out-going mails.
Working out simple calculations and checking.
Stamping and machine listing of vouchers and other documents.
Attending customers over the counter very politely and quickly.
Carrying out telling duties under close supervision of assigned officer .
Preparing simple returns, summaries and maintaining registers.
Doing simple reconciliation work.
Collecting, scrutinizing and arranging vouchers.
Posting ledgers
Posting of statements
Verification of signatures and scrutinizing vouchers for posting to different ledgers.
Posting of Profit and Loss Accounts, Bills payable accounts, Cables and Telegrams.
To maintain and improve Banker / Customer relations.
Performs telling duties such as:-
Receiving deposits which may consist of cash, cheques, postal and
money orders,
Counting cash deposited and ensures that it is correctly entered on the deposit slips.
Scrutinizing cheques and postal and money orders deposited in order to ensure that the customer has a title to the instrument.
Receiving and registering Foreign Bills, Payment Procedures and notification to customer's drawer banks.
Carrying out the duties of establishing Letter of Credits guarantees and Indemnities and security bonds.
Be conversant with recent exchange control regulations in connection with Import / Export Business.
Handling purchase of Foreign Currencies, cheques, drafts and
Travelers' cheques from customers at the applicable buying rate.
Accepting Tanzania shillings for the sale of Foreign in the form of
Mail Transfers, Telegraphic Transfer and Drafts.
Buying sufficient stock of Foreign Currency notes and coins to meet normal requirements.
Keeping sufficient stock of Foreign Currency notes and coins to meet normal requirements.
Undertaking internal transfer of cash form.
Preparing of final statement of the total receipts and payments of cash by the branch.
Carrying out calculations intended to arrive at the overall cash position of the branch and arranging to keep just sufficient cash in the branch to meet normal requirements.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
