REGIONAL BUSINESS MANAGER POSITION

Mwananchi Communications Limited, publishers of the leading Tanzania newspapers, Mwananchi, Mwananchi Jumamosi na Mwananchi Jumapili, Mwanaspoti, The Citizen and The Citizen on Saturday and The Citizen on Sunday is looking for motivated and highly experienced individuals from Zanzibar to fill the position of:

Job Purpose:
To develop, maintain and increase a solidly dependable client base, to sell advertising space and provide an effective service to clients so as to maximize advertising sales volumes and revenue targets.
Main Responsibilities:

This role is the first contact and an overall representative on MCl management team.
Plans and coordinates advertising strategies and administration activities to meet the company's business objectives.

Formulate and communicate activities to ensure zonal monthly advertising targets are met.
Identifies manpower requirements and Iiaises with HR for recruitment.
Manages team performance by constantly coaching, developing and motivating personnel to ensure effective zonal management succession planning. Administration Manager to ensure the advertising sales and collection targets; and administration targets are achieved.

To evaluate MCl performance in terms of advertising sales, advertising market share in Zanzibar with a view of increasing its share in Zanzibar
Ensure all company assets are well managed and any deviated is reported accordingly in a timely manner.
Reviews performance regularly with staff to ensure focus and guides them accordingly.
Responsible for all staff matters within the bureau including building team spirit, motivation, performance appraisal, leave plans, and maintaining effective communication between the office and Head Office.
Monitor and evaluates performance of sales freelancers in Zanzibar.

Minimum Qulification and Experience:
Academic: Basic University Degree
Professional: Diploma in Sales & Marketing
Experience: 3 to 5 years working experience
