We are now expanding our Talent Pool for Consumer and Marketing Insight ManagerThe CMI Manager is responsible for the delivery of the Brand Building business partner's insight work plan (Marketing/Customer Directors). This includes leverage of local market and shopper insight, modeling & analytics and media research

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides superior consumer and customer insight to guide activation, shopper and customer decisions
  • Develops and implements local Strategic Understanding Plan for the country
  • Ensures local consumer intimacy
  • Aligns local insight work plan with regional requirements
  • Provides local category and brand performance measurement and competitor reviews
  • Assesses and diagnoses issues with category/brand performance and recommends remedial action
  • Translates research into business decisions, providing key insights and advice to management
  • Influences market/customer strategies by providing insights through a wide variety of data sources
  • Manages research programs for activation projects including assessing in-market effectiveness
  • Feeds local consumer and shopper insight into regional/global brand innovation and communication projects
  • Develops insight into local category/market 'white space' (looking at trends, consumer buying & shopping behaviour, media habits, market information etc)
  • Develops local category learning on effectiveness of the marketing mix
  • Ensures that market/consumer knowledge is shared, understood and acted upon within the team
  • Manages local suppliers ensuring maximum value for the business with regard to quality, timeliness and service
  • Manages and develops 1 or 2 CMI direct reports (if applicable)
  • Drives implementation of Unilever CMI best practise


  • Key Skills and Qualification

    • University Degree from a reputable institution
    • Minimum of 6 years Market Research
    • Mix of ad hoc and market information
    • Minimum of 3 years on the client side
    • Consumer & shopper knowledge & intimacy
    • Identifies business Opportunities
    • Mastery of Ad Hoc Research
    • Mastery of Market Information
