The Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) is the Primary Agency of the Government established in 1997 by an Act of Parliament No. 26, with the mandate to coordinate, encourage, promote and facilitate investment in Tanzania
1.3 ACCOUNTANT I – 1 POST
1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure that all accounting documents are properly filled
· Control and preparation of accounts up to Trial balance
· Prepare invoices from bills
· Prepare monthly pay slips for each employee and keeping records and pay-roll register
· Remit net salaries to the employees' respective banks
· Maintain the employees ledge for staff advances, loans and duty travel imprests
· Follow up on outstanding amounts
· Maintain registers for debtors accurately and up-to –date
· Be responsible for banking or all cheques coming into the Centre
· Perform any other duties assigned by finance and Accounts Manager
1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE.
· Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
· CPA holder or equivalent standards and must be registered with NBAA.
· A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
· Minimum of three years working experience in relevant field.
· Remuneration package in accordance with the institution`s salary scale TIC
GS.9/10
NB: GENERAL CONDITIONS

vii. Testimonials, Partial transcripts and results slips will not be accepted.
viii. Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will necessitate to legal action
ix. Applicants for senior positions currently employed in the public service should route their application letters through their respective employers.
x. Applicants for entry levels currently employed in the Public Service should not apply, they have to adhere to Government Circular Na. CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
xi. Applicants who have/were retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply.
xii. Applicants should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts.
xiii. Certificates from foreign examination bodies for ordinary or advanced level education should be certified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA)
xiv. Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU)
