GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania
ii. Applicants must attach an up – to – date /current Curriculum Vitae (CV) having reliable contact postal address, e-mail address and telephone numbers.

v. Applicants who are currently employed should channel their applications through their employers.
vi. Applicants must attach their detailed relevant certified copies of Academic certificates:
- Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates.
- Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma Transcripts.
- Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates.
- Computer Certificate.
- Professional Certificates from respective boards (if any).
- One recent passport size picture
- Birth certificate.
vii. Form IV and Form VI results slips are strictly not accepted
viii. Testimonials, Partial transcripts and results slips will not be accepted.
ix. Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will
necessitate legal action.
x. Applicants who have/were retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply.
xi. Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).

3.1 QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
Holder of PhD; a Masters Degree with at least a GPA of 3.8 out of 5 and a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 5 or its equivalent in the First degree with minimum scores of B+ in the field of Structural Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Survey,
Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, Computer
Engineering / Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Science with Education, Energy Engineering, Production Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Economics, Food Science, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from recognized Institutions.
3.2 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaches pedagogic skills for academic staff who had non before
Carries out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
Mentors junior staff in relevant matters Participates in curriculum development
Participates in developing and managing various University activities Undertakes research and publish/disseminate results
Carries out consultancy and community services Writes teaching manuals and compendia
Supervises field practicals, undergraduate special projects and Masters theses/Dissertations
Attends/organizes workshops, conferences and symposia
Performs any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
