GENERAL CONDITIONS

i. All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania

ii. Applicants must attach an up – to – date /current Curriculum Vitae (CV) having reliable contact postal address, e-mail address and telephone numbers.

iii. Applicants should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts.

iv. Applicants should apply on the strength of the information given in this advertisement.

v. Applicants who are currently employed should channel their applications through their employers.

vi. Applicants must attach their detailed relevant certified copies of Academic certificates:

- Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates.

- Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma Transcripts.

- Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates.

- Computer Certificate.

- Professional Certificates from respective boards (if any).

- One recent passport size picture

- Birth certificate.

vii. Form IV and Form VI results slips are strictly not accepted

viii. Testimonials, Partial transcripts and results slips will not be accepted.

ix. Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will

necessitate legal action.

x. Applicants who have/were retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply.


xi. Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).

xii. Only short listed candidates will be informed on the date of interview

xiii. Application letters should be hand written in English

xiv. Women are highly encouraged to apply

Laboratory/Workshop Technician II (15 POSTS)

7.1. QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

Holder of Ordinary Diploma (NTA 6) or holder of Full Technician Certificate in Mining Engineering, Water Quality Engineering, Automotive Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, Laboratory Technology, Civil

Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Excellent English, written and oral communications skills; Knowledge in Computer application packages.

7.2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in specified tasks in connection with laboratory practical research and student's projects under close supervision

Assists academic staff in their research, teaching and consultancy activities

Assists in the repair and maintenance of laboratory and workshop facilities Performs any other duties assigned by the relevant senior staff.

7.3. SALARY SCALE PGSS 6 – 7
