Applications are invited from qualified candidates to fill one position of driver under the VLIR-IUC/NM-AIST Partnership Programme. Post Title: Driver
Salary: Negotiable according to qualifications and experience in line with Programme guideline
Duty Station: Tengeru, Arusha at NM-AIST
Duration of Appointment: Fixed term of 12 months with renewable upon good performance
Reporting to: Project Coordinator through Programme Manager
Minimum Entry Qualifications and Experience
Holder of form Four or form Six Secondary Education with passes in Kiswahili and English with Trade Test
Grade II/Drivers Grade II certificate from a recognized Institution. Must have a valid Class C Driving Licence and
working experience of at least three years in a reputable organization. He should have average proficiency in
English and also be willing and able to work extra hours.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Driving project car as well as other motor machines
•Ensuring that fuel, oil, water, tires and the general state of the car has been checked before use
•Provide driving services to NM AIST staff and researchers related to VLIR and other delegates who are
related to VLIR programme.
•Maintaining log book for each and every trip
•Ensuring that the vehicle is serviced as planned
•Carrying out small repairs if the vehicle breaks down
•Performing any other duties as assigned to him by his supervisor.
