EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Applications are invited from qualified candidates to fill one position of driver under the VLIR-IUC/NM-AIST Partnership Programme. Suitably qualified candidates are asked to submit a hand written application letter accompanied by copies of relevant academic certificates and a recent CV with names of at least two referees who have personal knowledge of the applicant.

Post Title: Driver

Salary: Negotiable according to qualifications and experience in line with Programme guideline
Duty Station: Tengeru, Arusha at NM-AIST
Duration of Appointment: Fixed term of 12 months with renewable upon good performance
Reporting to: Project Coordinator through Programme Manager
Minimum Entry Qualifications and Experience
Holder of form Four or form Six Secondary Education with passes in Kiswahili and English with Trade Test
Grade II/Drivers Grade II certificate from a recognized Institution. Must have a valid Class C Driving Licence and
working experience of at least three years in a reputable organization. He should have average proficiency in
English and also be willing and able to work extra hours.

Duties and Responsibilities
•Driving project car as well as other motor machines
•Ensuring that fuel, oil, water, tires and the general state of the car has been checked before use
•Provide driving services to NM AIST staff and researchers related to VLIR and other delegates who are
related to VLIR programme.
•Maintaining log book for each and every trip
•Ensuring that the vehicle is serviced as planned
•Carrying out small repairs if the vehicle breaks down
•Performing any other duties as assigned to him by his supervisor.
