About us
We are a membership-based nonprofit organization. JCI has more than 200.000 members across the globe. Each JCI Member is a young active citizen aged 18 to 40 and shares the belief that in order to create lasting positive change, we must improve ourselves and the world around us. We seek targeted solutions to the unique problems in our communities to build a better world, creating global impact.
JCI The Heart Of Europe is the international chapter based in Brussels, Belgium. JCI THOE Members seek ways to live out our slogan; "Be Better," around four key pillars: Individual, Business, Community, and International. We think perilously about our society's greatest challenges and act on behalf of all habitants of Brussels to be part of the solution. We seek better solutions to build better communities, creating a better future. Embracing new ideas, collaboration and diversity, we have the passion and courage to address the critical challenges of our time.
One of JCI THOE's projects, (Y)Our Future [1], aims at fostering youth employment by empowering young job seekers, inspiring entrepreneurs and bringing more awareness to this issue to create a deep and positive impact on society.
Campaign's objectives
  • Shape up a highly impactful campaign across Europe and beyond with the aim to foster youth employment
  • Help young leaders in different countries organising their (Y)our Future event in their local communities
Role
As Country Manager you are responsible of supporting the cause: fighting against youth unemployment in Europe.
Responsibilities
You will support the European (Y)our Future campaign by organizing a (Y)our Future event in your country. (Y)our Future events typically are humanitarian projects targeted at young graduates, students and stagiaires as they face difficult economic times in Europe. The events are fully dedicated to inspire and empower young people in their search for a job by providing them with tips, useful tools and knowledge.
You are the local Ambassador of the Campaign, leading the activities in your country
You will develop and manage your own team

Tools
To support your effort, the Campaign HQ in Brussels will be providing you with the tools, networks and platforms necessary to maximize your impact on a local level. In addition, you will receive virtual training and all necessary packages to manage a project, lobby decision-makers and participate in media interviews. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to attend high-level meetings on behalf of (Y)our Future Campaign.

Staggered events organised between May 2014 – May 2015.
