The School of St Jude is a charity funded school that provides a free, high-quality education to over 1,800 primary and secondary children from the poorest communities in Arusha. Additionally, the school now provides employment to over 400 Tanzanians and purchases the essential goods required to run the school everyday from local people. The ripple effect is incredibly wide spread.
About the position
St Jude's is currently seeking applications from Tanzanian Citizens for a Photographer, based at our Moshono Campus.

Key Responsibilities
- Take a range of photos documenting activities at St Jude's
- Seek photographic opportunities of interesting classes, professional development activities, presentations, performances, visitors and activities across all three St Jude's campuses
- Perform photography tasks from a set schedule coordinated by the Photography Team Leader
- Assist with the creation of short videos to be given to key contributors of the school or used for marketing purposes
- Organize and train others staff to take and label quality photos and videos
- Edit, label, resize, sort and file digital images and video logically and within set timeframes
- Update the intranet with photos of new staff regularly, at least monthly
- Organise the printing of all visual media for business and academic purposes and display
- Record and track all photography-related equipment
- Perform any relevant assignments and duties as requested by the Photography Team Leader
The successful applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen
- An eye and passion for photography
- Excellent organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Kiswahili. Must be able to spell accurately.
- Strong inter-personal skills to work in collaboration with all other departments
- Confident in dealing with a range of people of all ages and backgrounds including students
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and photography equipment
- Willingness to learn photo editing and video editing software, prior knowledge an advantage
