POSITION TITLE: 1
Direct Sales Specialist
REPORTING TO:
Sales Operations Director
LOCATION:
HQ, DSM
JOB PURPOSE
To grow customer acquisition and revenues through Airtel Direct Sales Channel
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via direct sales channels
  • Manage and coordinate the sales strategy implementation through the direct sales channels
  • Identify areas of direct sales opportunities in the market and steer the direct sales channels efforts to convert such opportunities.
  • Gather market and customer information/feedback
  • Coordinate trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations through the direct sales channels.
  • Negotiate price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
  • Advise on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions.
  • Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer
  • Ensure effective product merchandising in the trade
  • Ensure product availability for the direct sales channels team and POS.
  • Daily reporting of direct sale sales performance and order information.
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
  • Feeding future buying trends back to management for efficient and effective planning.
  • Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues.
  • Manage, train, mentor and evaluate our Direct sales team productivity
  • Develop and deploy plans to increase Direct sales group performance in coordination with all relevant segment Heads
  • Able to make decisions independently, make appropriate and informed recommendations to management for matters requiring higher levels of approval.
  • Ensure the overall delivery of the company's Revenue and Customer Acquisition Targets.
Educational Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Bachelors' degree (Prince 2 Project Management certificate will be an added advantage).
  • Project Management and basic accounting knowledge
Relevant Experience

  • At least 5 to 7 years work experience with a minimum 2 years direct supervisory level
