Welder will assist during repairs to and maintenance of all types of technical / mechanical equipment when instructed
by Technical Section Leader.
The Welder must have thorough knowledge of various metals characteristics and qualities including the correct welding process
required and the effect of welding on the material.
The Welder is obliged to be flexible at all times and assist in his area of competence as the platform management finds appropriate.
The Welder is responsible for the completion of work permits before the commencement of any work that requires such a permit and or SJA.
Qualifications:
. Preferably technical education.
. Extensive experience in welding field is a prerequisite. Fluent English in word and writing.
. Certified min. 24 months. documented relevant experience from the offshore / maritime operations.
. Good knowledge of platform equipment and drilling equipment
. Preferably experience from international projects/operations
Personal competences:
. Highly motivated and safety conscious
. Ability to work both independently and in teams
. Driven by new challenges
. Structured, goal oriented and with good task focus
. Good communication skills
. Good organizer and planner
. Ability to evaluate standards and regulations
