SWG Cross Brand Channels Sales for East Africa The SWG (Software Group) Channel Sales role is a Business Partner client facing role (BPR). You will be responsible for driving the sale of IBM Software products through our Business Partners in an assigned territory or coverage model, and will lead the execution of Software Group (SWG) Channels programs and events. This will include strategic planning, tactical execution and account management to deliver high-value to our Business Partners and highly effective utilisation of both SWG and IBM Software Brand resources in support of revenue goals and other key business priorities. Successful candidates will be responsible for several aspects of selling IBM Software products through the channel, including business planning with their Business Partners, territory / pipeline management, planning and running tactics and local execution of Software Brand initiatives and SWG channel programs. 

Successful candidates will: 
Demonstrate understanding of and at least 3 years experience in the Software Business Partner channel in East Africa (re-sellers, distributors and other BP-types) 
Demonstrate understanding of BP Channel programs (such as SVP, SVI, BPLM, etc.) 
Identify effective ways to leverage SWG programs to improve channel sales & productivity, and IBM's value to our Business Partners. 
Demonstrate knowledge of the channel sales model, both internal and external. 
Be capable of presenting and articulating the differentiated value of IBM's Channel incentives, resources, strategy and the Software product portfolio to IBM's channel sellers and Business Partners. Have experience successfully selling with, or leading Business Partners in complex, competitive sales situations. 
Be able to team effectively with individuals from global business untis, IBM's distributors and our teams in the geography. 
Be flexible and creative, willing to adapt to the evolving needs of a new and strategic division. 

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 8 years experience in Relationship building, time management and sales acumen
  • English: Fluent

Preferred
  • Master's Degree
  • At least 10 years experience in Relationship building, time management and sales acumen
