Development Production International (DPI) is responsible for Statoil's existing international comprehensive portfolio of producing assets and planned field developments. DPI focuses on building business clusters and maximizing the value of our producing fields internationally.
Some of the main priorities are to ensure industry leading HSE performance in all our operations and partner operated fields, deliver production and mature new projects. DPI is organized in four regions: Europe and Asia (EA), Middle East and North Africa (MENA), South America (SAM) and sub-Saharan Africa (SAF).

Job description

  • Implement measures to reduce or eliminate occupational accidents and health risks in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Support/lead/facilitate investigations related to HSE incidents (accidents, injuries, work related illness cases).;
  • Be part of Health & Safety local organization (SESMT).
  • Manage internal and external reports
  • Liaise with production areas to support, advise, execute and audit legal compliance activities that include, but not limitated to:
  • PPE selection;
  • Risk assessment and health risk assessment activities;
  • HSE in electrical services;
  • HSE in boilers and pipelines;
  • HSE in lifting and crane operations;
  • HSE in machinery;
  • HSE in working at height;
  • HSE in confined spaces;
  • HSE in diving activities;
  • HSE in modifications and maintenance of offshore installations;
  • Navy inspections;
  • SGSO activities;
  • Coordinate activities related to HSE in Supply Chain:
  • Implement the HSE strategy in Supply Chain;
  • Lead HSE pre-qualification processes;
  • Run field inspections;
  • Facilitate risk assessments;
  • Follow up contractors HSE performance;
  • Review and produce technical reports;
  • Run compliance verifications.
  • Other relevant information:
  • Work at confined space.
  • Work at high altitude.

Qualifications

  • Engineer (according to brazilian local requirements – CREA registration). Preference for Mechanical, Naval, Electrical or Chemical Engineering;
  • Safety Engineer (according to Labour Ministry – NR4 requirements);
  • Desireble international safety certification (NEBOSH);
  • Fluent in English;
  • Strong knowledge in brazilian legal compliance related to:
  • Labor Ministry:
  • NRs (mainly 1,4,5,6,9,10,11,12,13,15,16,17,20,23,24,26,30,33,34,35);
  • Previous experience as SESMT member;
  • ANP: SGSO/ANP 43
  • Navy: NORMAM;
  • IBAMA;
  • Experience with authorities relationship;
  • Strong experience in HSE processes in Supply Chain;
  • Experience as technical advisor;
  • Knowledge of risk management tools;
  • Experience with HSE training;
  • Strong computer and software skills (HSE reporting tools, excel, power point, Internet);
  • Desirable relevant experience in the offshore oil & gas industry, ideally both onshore and offshore.
