ASSISTANT LECTURERS AND LECTURER IN MASS COMMUNICATION/JOURNALISM/COMMUNICATIONS

Department of Mass Communication at Stefano Moshi Memorial University College (SMMUCo) is seeking to employ three new teaching staff to cater for its growing operations. SMMUCo (www.smmuco.ac.tz) is a constituent college of Tumaini University Makumira. The College is based in Moshi District, northern Tanzania.

Assistant Lecturers: 2 positions

·         Holder of Masters Degree in mass communication, journalism, media studies, development communications, or any related field of study in a recognized higher learning institution.

·         Candidates in final stages of their postgraduate studies may also be considered.

Lecturer: 1 position

·         Holders of PhD in mass communication, journalism, media studies, development communication or any related field of study from recognized higher learning institutions. Candidates in final stages of their doctorate studies may also be considered

·         Holders of Masters Degree in mass communication, journalism, media studies, development communication or any related field of study from recognized higher learning institutions, and five years experience of teaching in university settings. The candidates in this category must have published at least two papers in a recognized and reputable journal.
