The Arusha Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (AUWSA) is a legally established entity responsible for the overall operations and management of water supply and sewerage services in Arusha City. It is among of the best Authorities in Tanzania.
The core function of the Authority is to deliver excellent water supply and sewerage services for all categories of customers and stakeholders in Arusha City.
In order to attain its vision and mission, AUWSA is seeking to recruit dynamic, experienced, competent and qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts within the Authority's establishment.
1.0 PUBLIC RELATION OFFICER II: (1 Vacant Posts)
1.1 Appointing Authority: Management Committee.
1.2 Reports To: Senior Public Relation Officer.
1.3 Required Qualifications and Experience:
The successful applicant must be/have:
(i) Holder of First Degree in Community Development, Mass Communication, International Relations, Business Administration (Marketing) or equivalent from a recognized Higher Learning Institution.
(ii) Form IV/VI NACTE Certificate
(iii) Computer skills are essential.
(iv) At least One year working experience in a reputable organization.
1.4 Employment Terms: Two years Contract - Renewable upon satisfactorily performance.
1.5 Main Duties & Responsibilities:
i. Assist to develop, design and prepare public relation materials, workshops, awareness programs and public participation activities.
ii. Assist in developing Public Relations plan in light of the approved Strategic Plan.
iii. Assist in managing and directing the overall activities of Public Relations to ensure the implementation of the publicity and awareness programs, in a way that maximize the public understanding to AUWSA's accomplishments, and gains a positive image.
iv. Assists and advises the Public Relations Officer on all public affairs and customer relations issues.
v. Assist in receiving and attending to customer complaints.
vi. Assist in preparing and carrying out public relations programmes with particular attention to public education, water conservation and tariff policies.
vii. Perform any other duties as may be directed by the Public Relations Officer.
2.0 CUSTOMER SERVICES OFFICER II: (1 Vacant Post)
2.1 Appointing Authority: Managing Director.
2.2 Reports To: Senior Customer Service Officer.
2.3 Required Qualifications and Experience:
The successful applicant must be/have:
i. Holder of First Degree/Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics/Economic Planning or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Higher Learning Institution.
ii. Form IV/VI NACTE Certificate
iii. Computer skills are essential.
iv. At least One year working experience in a reputable organization.
2.4 Employment Terms: Two years Contract - Renewable upon satisfactorily performance.
2.5 Main Duties & Responsibilities:
(i) Assist the head of section in sectional administrative issues on day to day basis
(ii) Assist the whole process of ensuring that all customers get water supply according to their ration timetable.
(iii) Attending customers' complaints regarding water supply shortages and sewerage services.
(iv) Receiving and reporting of water leakages and illegal connections to respective section for prompt corrective action.
(v) Keeping records of all customers and public comments regarding the authority.
(vi) Acts as the official point of contact for all outside parties seeking services from the Authority.
(vii) Assist Senior / Principal Customer Services Officers in replying all queries, inquiries and/or criticism against the Authority.
(viii) Assist in making follow-ups for customers' complaints until their final settlement.
(ix) Assist in ensuring that service/supply problems are handled and resolved amicably.
(x) Assist the process of replying all queries, inquiries and/or criticism against the Authority's services.
(xi) Assist the keeping records of all customers' comments regarding the Authority services.
(i) Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Customer Service Officer.
3.0 PACKAGE:
