Vice-President, Infrastructure, Private Sector and Regional Integration
Lead the creation of sustainable infrastructure, private sector and regional integration initiatives for Africa
Vice-President, Infrastructure, Private Sector and Regional Integration
Established in 1964, we are the premier pan-African development institution promoting economic growth and social progress across the continent. Bringing together 78 member states, including 53 in Africa (Regional Member Countries), we're delivering the financial and technical support for truly transformative projects that will significantly reduce poverty and deprivation. As Vice-President, you will assume responsibility for the development and delivery of sustainable infrastructure programmes and promote private sector and regional integration activities across all our regional member countries.
We will look to you to formulate visionary and far-reaching strategies spanning transport, ICT, energy, water and sanitation, whilst addressing related climate change issues. At the same time, you will champion regional integration through initiatives such as the New Partnership for Africa's Development, support targeted public sector interventions to improve the business climate, finance private sector operations and promote public-private partnerships. Above all, you will leverage our leadership in these crucial areas to meet the evolving needs of borrowers, shareholders, development partners and other stakeholders, and will foster a culture of initiative and innovation.
Qualified to at least Master's degree level in Economics, Finance, Social Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline, you will bring substantial experience in the development field, including a proven track record at senior management level. This will have given you broad knowledge of infrastructure development in Africa and deep awareness of infrastructure financing, regional integration and trade issues. Equally importantly, you should be familiar with the work of other multilateral and bilateral development finance institutions involved in poverty reduction; skilled in change management and capable of networking at the highest levels. Finally, you will be an inspiring leader and effective negotiator with full fluency in English or French with a working knowledge of the other language.
Applications, which should include a complete Curriculum Vitae in MS Word format, and a motivation statement, should be directed to Boyden Global Executive Search on the email address: africandevelopmentbank@boyden.com
