What will you do during your EVS?

Volunteer will be mainly involved in work with young people with fewer life opportunities because of various problems like economic, social, family or school. OHP's participants don't speak english. The tasks of the volunteer's include: 1. organizing activities for youth (15-25) to encourage them to be active (sport, film, art, ecology activities etc. – depends on volunteer) or involving in activities conducting by guardians, 2. helping in organizing free time for our participants (mainly who are accommodated in dormitory) by leading for them intercultural workshops, presentations about EVS or European countries, 3. helping in realization ideas and activities of our participants and develop their interests, 4. organizing intercultural animations-workshops (about language, culture, EVS etc.) for youth (15-25), 5. organizing activities for children from primary school during open room activities, 6. information and promoting activities about EVS and Youth in Action Programme among youth and for unemployed in various places (schools, international centres, job fairs etc.), 7. helping in Youth Job office – helping the staff to service of unemployed people who visit OHP to get temporary or state job, 8. helping in organizing international cooperation. Volunteer can create new projects within Youth in Action Programme in cooperation with our participants. OHP's participants don't speak english.

What are the criterias?

The volunteer should like to work with youth, both individual and group work. OHP's youth are mostly between 17 up to 25 years old and they belong to youth with fewer life opportunities. Volunteer should cope with youth – to help develop their interests and encourage them to be active by different activities. In the office we speak english and polish. Volunteer should be: 1. creative – to initiate activities with and for the OHP's youth, 2. independent – to create, organize and lead activities on his/her own initiative, 3. open for new people, culture, language, 4. curious and open minded, 5. resistant to defeats. Age >22 will be advantage (because of age of OHP's participants – volunteer should be for them role model). OHP's participants don't speak english, so volunteer should be high motivated to learn polish. Body language will be useful.

The first stage of recruitment process will be sign cooperation with sending organization. Then in cooperation with sending organization we will choose candidate from country of sending organization. Everyone who will be interested in project will be asked to send CV + application form (enclosed to this call). Sending organizations are invited to collaborate and contact.
