Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the CGIAR, WorldFish implements its work through the recently created CGIAR Research Programs. It is an important period for both WorldFish and the Bangladesh country office as it is one of significant and rapid growth at a time when the organization is within a transition period to new ways of working. WorldFish is committed to our people, their growth and their development in order to maintain high quality, responsive and adaptive program management. Under the direct supervision of Country Director with a dotted line reporting to the Head Organization Development at WorldFish, WorldFish seeks a creative, dynamic and innovative individual to work alongside the Bangladesh Country Director and Country Program leader to ensure that growth is well managed and effectively integrated across 300+ staff within the WorldFish Bangladesh office.
She/he will responsible for:
- The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for providing leadership to ensure that change and growth are effectively planned and managed across the entire portfolio of WorldFish projects (currently 17 major projects with an annual budget of over $10 million) in an integrated fashion. This role would incorporate change management including effective workforce planning and development of a succession planning strategy.
- A key element of this would be ongoing support and embedding of the WorldFish Leadership development initiatives which would be conducted at the highest standards, and in a timely and efficient manner which meets the needs of all the WorldFish managers and science staff.
- The successful candidate will advise in areas of change management, organization effectiveness and performance issues and works in partnership with the Bangladesh senior leaders to orchestrate cultural development and organization change initiatives that enable achievement of strategic goals. This position provides advice and support aimed at building organizational cohesion, health and flexibility. A key component of this role will be to perform an advisory function and direct coaching for senior leaders within Bangladesh.
- The successful candidate will bring experience in change management and organizational development ideally at both the strategic and operational level. They will have oversight of and be a primary supporter to the current suite of organization development initiatives underway in Bangladesh as well as for the design, development and implementation of additional relevant Organizational Development initiatives as required. These initiatives will be aligned strongly with and underpin the successful delivery of the Bangladesh country strategy and associated plans and align with the strategic direction of the WorldFish people and organization development team.
- Closely work with Bangladesh Program Priority Leader (PPL) of Capacity Building Development.
Skill Requirements:
- A successful candidate will have: a MA in an appropriate field such as Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology or Strategic Human Resource Management
- Minimum of five years' experience in a high level Organizational Development position with a major international or national development/science organization
- Other qualifications and accreditations in coaching, psychometrics and organization development will be highly regarded
- A proven track record in providing innovative approaches to leadership and people development
- Experience leading growth and / or change management at scale
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
- Excellent qualitative human analytical skills and the ability to present information clearly and concisely in both spoken and written form
- Fluency in some or all of the following software packages - MS Word; MS Outlook
- Experience in one-on-one coaching as well as team coaching would be valued highly.
