MANAGER – NGN INFRASTRUCTURE & TRAFFIC ENGINEERING
Summary
To plan and proactively oversee the usage of network resources, manage routes and traffic to ensure continuous availability of the Next Generation Network and Services

Reports To:- Head NGN Operation & Services

Duties  
1. Provide technical, procedural and policy guidance for the operation, maintenance, expansions and upgrades of the Next Generation Network and Intelligent Networks.
2. Manage and oversee usage of Signaling Point Codes, Global Titles, Fixed and Mobile Number resources, IMSI, IP addresses, VLANs, network ports and similar resources of across the network.
3. Plan, issue working documents and oversee implementation of network integrations, capacity upgrades, and software upgrades.
4. Collect and analyze performance data and timely submit capacity utilization and traffic reports.
5. Manage Service Level Agreements (SLA) for Next Generation Network (NGN)
6. Ensure that network systems are well scaled to support the business.
7. Ensure security policy is in place and implemented to safeguard NGN systems against unauthorized access.
8. To address performance capability issues within the section and ensure employees are actively involved in continuous learning and development that enable the section meets the anticipated human resource performance requirements.
9. Accountable for the performance of the employees under the unit including setting performance objectives, conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedbacks, coaching and mentoring to maximize employees' job satisfaction.
10. To monitor and control costs and expenses within the section and ensure efficient usage, management and security of resources under the section.
11. To implement and exercise delegated authorities and any other instructions and directives as may be issued by the Head of department from time to time

Qualifications
1. Minimum, a University degree in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering or similar equivalent technical education. 2. Extensive training and hands on experience in Switching or data communication networks. 3. Good analytical and traffic management skills. 4 Minimum of five (5) years in telecommunications industry. 5 Minimum of three (3) years experience in switching or IN network. 6. Minimum of two (2) years management experience
