Reporting to; SR T & D Manager

PURPOSE OF JOB
The Internal Trainer is primarily responsible for TNA, Design and development of programs, hard and soft skills training, and evaluation of employees. The trainer will also be involved in proactively assessing training and implementing innovative training solutions to meet changing business needs at all levels in the Bank.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Internal Trainer reports to the Senior Manager Learning and Development Department (The Exim Academy) and delivers staff training programs for employees. The Trainer is responsible for developing training materials and content as well as delivering training programs & tools to support strategic initiatives identified in collaboration with The Academy management in an effective and efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide training support to ensure that The Exim Academy's mandate is accomplished in an effective, efficient and enjoyable manner.
Main Activities:
Conduct Training Needs Analysis, as required, especially in the soft skills and quality of service at the bank
Design and deliver training material to support high levels of service experience, down to organizational, work and personal effectiveness and efficiency
Conduct training presentations of all bank related programs as well as soft skills and other programs as requested
Ensure all existing training material and records are updated following target group needs and any changes in procedures and/or business rules
Work with 3rd party training providers to develop training content as required
Evaluate training and development efforts and provide feedback to the T & D Manager
Ensure that all employees are involved in the organisational generic programs and those with specific target group basing on roles
Provide coaching, develop and implement creative ways to follow up with team members after training to ensure transfer of learning.
Creates and implements effective evaluation tools to measure effectiveness of training.
Maintain records related to training programmes
Provide support to The Exim Management to ensure that the department is provided with the resources to make effective decisions
Main Activities:
Ensure training records are up to date and accurate at all times
Update the manager on ad hoc feedback from participants frequently
Prepare brief reports on participant feedback after training sessions and update management
Work closely and support the Training Assistant whenever required
Perform other related duties as required

Internal: Regular contact with Corporate and Branch staff
External: Random contact with external trainers and vendors

Carry out work in accordance with the banks procedures
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence
Eliminate waste of whatever form, suggest the use of new practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the bank.
5. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
a) Knowledge
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in training content design and development, training needs analysis, presentation design and delivery, training documentation and the use of training tools and equipment.
b) Skills
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:
Proven ability to develop training aids, make suggestions for training documentation enhancements, and participate in the instructional development process by testing/editing training materials and providing feedback regarding course flow, hands-on exercises and knowledge checks.
Experience with the use of a wide range of ICT tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient presentation and training skills and strong organizational, project management, analytical and problem solving skills.
A successful background of delivering instructor led training.
Superb presentation skills and methodologies.
Ability to motivate learners and establish credibility
Willingness to work both independently and with a team to deliver high-quality training required.
Experience in using e-learning applications and creating e-learning content is desirable
High level of energy and enthusiasm
Excellent attention to detail
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree minimum requirement
At least 2 years Banking Operations experience.
Strong communication and customer service skills are required as well as advanced organization, time management, and analysis skills.
