Summary
Living Goods is expanding and looking for a seasoned, dynamic Administrative Associate to support the efforts of our fast-paced, growing organization. The primary responsibility of the Administrative Associate is to provide administrative and operational support to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The Administrative Associate will do this by providing administrative support to the President and Senior Management team, delivering top-notch office management, and serving as the Living Goods recruitment and development lead.
This position offers the unique opportunity to work for a social enterprise improving the lives of the global poor and to help shape the operations of a global start-up. You will plays a critical role supporting our San Francisco headquarters office and our teams in East Africa.

Responsibilities
The Administrative Associate will drive continuous process improvement and coordinate operations. The specific duties include:
Administrative (70%)
- Administrative support to the President and Senior Management team, including scheduling, travel logistics, special projects and other activities as assigned.
- Office and vendor management including supplies, technology systems and taking initiative to create better systems and processes where needed.
- Ensure seamless communication and coordination between Living Goods' distributed teams.
Talent (20%)
- Help bring excellent talent into Living Goods including supporting recruitment and hiring process, onboarding new employees, and building organizational culture.
Research and Other Projects (10%)
- Special initiatives and projects as assigned by President and Senior Management. Could include research on other models, new product opportunities, public health issues and more.
Qualifications
- At least two years experience in Executive support or equivalent administrative background; previous experience with Salesforce a plus.
- A multi-tasking guru who can manage multiple projects and move seamlessly between them; the ability to weigh competing requests and prioritize tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with the full range of internal and external stakeholders on a routine basis.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving ability, judgment, courtesy, patience and calm under pressure.
- A proactive doer who takes initiative to solve problems that arise, create better systems, think ahead about what team members and the organization needs.
- Committed to Living Goods' mission of building a double bottom-line business designed to improve the health and wealth of people living in poverty.
- BA required.
