Objective of the programme:
To support Ethiopia's economic growth by developing the private sector to create a business enabling environment which will help industries have access to both credit and finance. The objective of this programme is to create jobs whilst promoting green growth. A large emphasis of this programme will be supporting woman and children in the marketplace. This programme will seek to address many issues which face Ethiopia and will look to strengthen exports, product diversification, competitiveness, productivity. In addition, this programme will focus on working with banks to build their capacity to provide loans and credit to emerging businesses. Consequently, it will seek to attract greater foreign investment. This programme will seek to work in the following industries: Horticulture, Cotton Textiles and Leather.
Objective of the role:
We are seeking applications from highly experienced private enterprise specialists who have demonstrated success in working on programmes where they have promoted Public Private Partnership to address weaknesses in polices and institutions and have addressed market failures by innovating new business models and technologies that will benefit the poor. The candidate will have a proven skill set in value chain analysis, SME finance, challenge funds, capacity building, marketing and policy planning.

Desirable:
- Previous experience working with DFID
- Working experience in Africa, preferably Ethiopia
- Previous work with the following industries: Cotton Textiles, Horticulture, Leather
- Demonstrated work experience on programmes that have sought to address gender inequalities especially in promoting women entrepreneurs
