Knowledge Management and Communication Specialist

The MEASURE Evaluation Project, based at the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), is a global health project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). MEASURE Evaluation focuses on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of population, health, and nutrition programs and improving health sector decision-making. In Tanzania, the Project received an Associate Award from USAID Tanzania that is anticipated to run from 2014
to 2019

Knowledge Management and Communication Specialist

We are currently seeking a Knowledge Management and Communication Specialist to provide support across the entire project.
This is a full-time position based in our Dar es Salaam office.

Primary Responsibilities
The Knowledge Management and Communication Specialist will be part of a team of M&E Advisors who work together on activities related to M&E systems strengthening, conducting research, data quality assessments and M&E training and mentoring to partners implementing HIV control programs. The position will work closely with the Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party, and project staff representing MEASURE Evaluations? five partners (ICF-Macro, Palladium, JSI, MSH, and Tulane University).

Minimum Education and Experience Required
Master's degree in Communication, Media studies, Information systems, Social Science or equivalent and
At least 3 years? experience in a similar role.
Demonstrable experience in knowledge management for advocacy and information sharing.
Competence in the usage of computers and office software packages and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, including experience in handling of web-based management systems and social media platforms are also required.
High level fluency in English language writing and verbal communication is a requirement.
