The Company
Our Client, Kenya Power owns and operates most of the electricity transmission and distribution system in the country and sells electricity to over 2.6 million customers. The Company's key mandate is to ensure sufficient electricity transmission capacity to meet demand; build and maintain the power distribution and transmission network and retail electricity to its customers. To support its objectives of growth, expansion and sustained profitability, Kenya Power is looking to recruit high caliber, strategic, results oriented, performance driven, conscientious and passionate individuals, to fill the position of Chief Supply Chain Officer, Regions & Business Partnering.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Chief Supply Chain Officer, Regions & Business Partnering will report to The Manager, Enablement &Operational Excellence and will be responsible for the enhancement of efficiency and effectiveness of regional supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities;
•Participate in strategy development for the supply chain department by giving information and suggestions related to regional supply chain operations;
•Provide feedback on the policies and procedures, for review by the management, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;
•Participate in the budget and planning process for the Supply Chain Division through the provision of input and suggestions;
•Coordinate the supply chain functions in the regions for both technical and non —technical works to ensure service excellence for Kenya Power;
•Facilitate e- procurement for the Regions to ensure value for money for the Company through enhance efficiency and effectiveness of e- procurement;
•Conduct process reviews for the Regions to ensure the processes support efficiency and effectiveness, and that they are compliant to the relevant procurement regulations and guidelines;
•Provide reports on regional performance on supply chain roles;
•Ensure compliance to the Procurement Act, policies and procedures in the Regions.
Requirements
•A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from a reputable institution;
•Graduate Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies or equivalent
•S/He should be a member of a relevant professional body;
•A minimum of nine (9) years working experience
