Expert Consultancy is currently recruiting for Transport and Logistic Manager for our client based in Arusha on permanent basis. Qualified individual will be managing 15 cargo trucks and other 25 medium and small office trucks.

Duties and Responsibility:

Qualified individual will be performing below duties regularly.

• Performing regular transport audits to ensure compliance and provide day/month end/quarterly/annual reports
• Developing and leading a cohesive driver/conductor team capable of planning and executing day-to-day activities in a safe, professional, efficient and cost effective manner
• Supervising all drivers/Conductor and staff under transport and logistic
• Assisting in commercial and contractual negotiations that need his/her availability
• Effectively managing and liaising with stakeholders, both internal and external
• Ensuring compliance with OH&S and HR requirements, and business policies
• Oversee transportation department, including its assets and employees.
• Ensure customer goods move from production through the supply chain to the end user on time.
• Establish quality internal transportation services to meet client's expectation.
• Develop partnerships with outside carriers in shipping/transportation and responsible authorities.
• Plan and implement transport and logistics budgets.
• Supervise scheduling of Company transportation on daily basis
• Review transport financial reports.
• Manage performance of Drivers and logistic department employees with emphasis on productivity, efficiency, and service delivery.
• Lead all distribution and transportation planning and strategic activities.
• Recruit, interview, select, train, motivate, coach, and mentor shipping clerks and transport drivers.
• Assist in the identification and implementation of transport and logistics continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities.
• Responsible for managing Truck/Car checking report every morning and evening
• Responsible for workshop supervision and its running in daily basis
• Follow up on all Car trucks required documents

 

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant senior management experience in a similar role within the transport industry or transport and logistics department in company of above 50 cargo trucks.
• Strong customer relationship management skills
• Relevant educational qualifications and training
• Car trucks knowledge and transportation business awareness

Qualifications and experience:

·         Qualified candidate must have a Diploma or related management skills specifically on transportation and Logistic in general.

·         Should have three year experience working at transport and Logistics management level

·         Awareness of Arusha and Tanzania business environment

 

Remuneration:
