Job Title: Branch Managers
The role:
The Branch Manager will be reporting to the Chie Manager Retail Banking and is responsible for the overall management of a branch of the Bank, and ensure successful service delivery as well as the banks overall strategy fulfillment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Growth
• On business growth the Branch Manager is responsible for driving deposit and lending growth, customer service continuous enhancements and developing loyalty programmes with a view of retaining customers and attracting new ones.
• Managing high quality customer service through the introduction of robust customer service management techniques, enquiries and complaints handling procedures and customers feedback mechanism.
• Preparing the branch annual plan and budget, as well as implementing and monitoring for the same.
Control and governance
On control side, the Branch Manager oversees all operations of the branch in accordance with the banks operating manuals, policies and regulations.
• Should ensure the branch control on all operation, processes and procedures are in place, effectiveness and in compliance to all laid policies, rules and regulations.
• Ensure that all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with the country is regulations and laws governing business operations.
• Should plan, coordinate, control and direct all lending operations of the branch, in such a way as to minimize risk in lending, and ensure profitable lending.
• Should ensure that the branch books are properly maintained and all the branch assets are safeguarded.
• Periodically, compile and present branch performance reports, providing details on the performance trend.
• Ensuring the promotion of the bank is image through proper corporate governance.
Human Resource Management
• Managing human resource activities that include among others orienting, training, coaching, counseling and disciplining staff at the respective branch. The branch should be optimally staffed to realize efficiency and productivity.
• Planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing staff job contributions. Create system for measuring functional and individual performance with a view of developing a high performance organization.
• Ensure that appropriate welfare, health and safety measure are in place fairly implemented in the branch to maintain work harmony.

To be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria
• 5 years experience covering core banking departments in the branches.
• Degree in Economics, business administration or related profession. A master's degree will be an added advantage.
• Must have an experience of at least 2 years in credit processes.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Application, specifically excel and word.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines and limited supervision.
