DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The General Manager is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company responsible to the Board of Directors. The POSITION demands a person who is visionary and a strategist. The Successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for preparation and implementation of the Company's Strategic Plan aiming at transforming the Company into an efficient and highly profitable producer of the livestock products for both the local and export markets. The Successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the entire value chain of livestock and livestock products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
(i) The Successful Candidate will be a holder of at least a Master's degree in one of the following fields of livestock development, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Ranch Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or equivalent qualifications plus at least 10 years of relevant managerial working experience in a reputable national or international institution. A working knowledge of the Livestock industry in Tanzania will be an added advantage.
(ii) The Candidate must be visionary, dynamic, have a proven record of good practical performance, a strong sense of dedication, strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills both in English and Kiswahili, a high degree of integrity and ability to work under pressure in a challenging environment. Ability to use Information and Communication Technology is necessary. Preference will be given to suitably qualified Tanzanians subject to meeting all requirements.
SALARY
An attractive salary in the Scale between NGSS 17-19 and fringe benefits will be offered to the successful candidate. The reward package for the position will be commensurate with the challenge.
