Assistant Marketing Manager
DUTIES

1. Works hand in hand with the Marketing Manager, as well as the top management of the company in pursuing business growth strategies;
2. Has the opportunity to lead small projects, but generally helps the marketing officers in delivering the agreed marketing strategies and strategic partnerships;
3. Helps in the development of insurance products and making a database for them;
4. Assist top management by directing the employees to apply and follow the set strategies;
5. Assist the marketing manager to design adverts and other promotional materials;
6. Must be able to conduct trainings as well as produce training materials, presentations and handouts;
7. Must be willing to help in taking on the duties of the Manager when the marketing manager is away.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. At least a Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, insurance, business management or their equivalent;
2. At least 3 years working experience in an insurance company or intermediary. One year Supervisory or managerial experience is an added advantage;
3. Certificate or passed several papers towards achieving Associateship of Insurance Qualifications.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

1. Must be results oriented, organized, team builder and be a good leader;
2. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills;
3. Literacy in Computers, Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and use of the internet are necessary;
4. Must be able to follow instructions from the Manager and top management well and be able to apply them timely and fully;
5. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, negotiation skills, selling skills and leadership skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. He works the typical working hours , but may need to extend his working hours to beyond hours as well as working on weekends;
2. He may be required to attend meetings and seminars/trainings out of the office;
3. He must be able to drive and be prepared to considerable traveling across the branch network.
