To enhance our team in Tanzania, Mobisol Ltd is looking for a Human Resources Manager who will be based inArusha Region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly dedicated international team in a fast growing renewable energy market.

Authority

The main role of the Human Resources Manager is  to develop and implement a suitable HR strategy and HR practices which comply with Mobisol's overall mission and vision. This comprises areas as employer-employee relations, training and development, performance management as well as health and safety. All staffing, compensation and benefit programs will be designed within the strategic Human Resources architecture to meet the needs of Mobisol.

 

The responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

Managerial functions

Operational

  • Accountable for efficient and effective day-to-day operations of all staff members of the HR Department
  • Responsible for the coordination, management and supervision of all staff members of the Human Resource Department in the National Hub
  • Responsible for preparation, follow-up and review of financial budgets for HR operations
  • Responsible for an efficient flow of information among HR Department staff members

 

Tactical

  • Responsible for providing leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure the HR Department achieves its targets and further develops to the demands of the company and its target groups
  • Responsible for assuring that all department staff members are fully informed about operational and performance objectives and carry out their respective tasks accordingly
  • Responsible for the preparation of reports stating the progress of HR activities
  • Responsible for a proper integration of HR into Mobisol's overall operations, that other departments are well informed and that all necessary actions are properly coordinated with other departments

Specialized tasks

  • Accountable for the preparation and execution of an efficient and cost-effective HR strategy
  • Accountable that current and prospective employees are provided with up-to-date information about policies, working conditions, salaries, employee benefits and health and security
  • Accountable for the identification of staff vacancies. Position requirements and desired skills shall be set up
  • Accountable for the strengthening of the company culture, cooperation and teamwork
  • Accountable for the evaluation and shortlisting of job applications
  • Accountable for the compilation and maintenance of records concerning personnel related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism
  • Accountable for the preparation and execution of employee evaluations
  • Responsible for preparation, implementation and update of a HR strategy and procedures which are in line with Mobisol's overall objectives
  • Responsible for the preparation of personnel forecasts to project employment needs (HR development strategy)
  • Responsible for the conduction of interviews for suitable applicants
  • Responsible for assuring that all employees' contracts comply with national HR laws and regulations
  • Responsible to analyse and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Responsible for payroll updates and the preparation of salary and commissions forecasts with financial department
  • Responsible for the execution of exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination

  • Human Resouces Manager directly report to Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
  • Human Resources Manager has Disciplinary authority for HR Department staff in National Hub
  • Functional authority for MH Recruitment Officer and Admin Officer in Regional Hub

 

  • The following staff report to HR Manger

ü  HR Assistant, HR, NH

ü  HR Officer MH, Development, NH

ü  Admin Officer, RH Support, RH

 

 

Job Requirements Qualifications and skills required:
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing teams of at least 10 employees with disciplinary and functional authority, ideally as HR Manager or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing the HR Department of a company with at least 150 employees
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in HR or a related field
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets
  • Strong understanding of national employment/labour law
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience of dealing with senior and sometimes challenging individuals
  • Effective team management and highly-organized with clear dissemination and collection of information to / from a team
  • Strong sense of integrity and discretion
  • Strong sense of urgency and deadline driven, dynamic self-starter and team player
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to compile and interpret statistical data and communicate it in a professional and understandable manner
  • Fluency in English and  Kiswahili language
