The Vocation Education and Training Authority ( VETA) is an autonomous Government Agency established by the Act of parliament No. 1 of 1994. VETA is responsible for regulating, coordinating, financing and providing vocational Education and Training I Tanzania . VETA is an equal opportunity organization.

1.0 Job title: PLANNING MANAGER
Job Relationship
Reports to the Director of labour market planning and Development

a) purpose Job
To plan and implement research and development activities of the authority in line with corporate plan and disseminate same to stake holders in orde to facilitate timely implementation of planned activities aimed at meeting Authority's objectives.
b) Qualification Required
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Economics or statistics from a recognised Institution. Must have at least 6 ( six ) years work experience in the same field plus one year probation period.
c) Duties and Responsibilities
I) Develop VETA's annual plan and budget by consolidating departmental/ zonal / centers annual plans and budgets in order to set VET priorities which are in line with VCP
II) Coordinate and monitor the implementation of VCP by consolidating quarterly and annual performance review reports in with a view to achieve VETA's set objective/ goals.
III) Direct and control Labour Market Research by developing tools and administer its implementation with a view to provide information / inputs for improving quality of VET.
IV) Monitor and coordinate labour market surveys in liaison with Regional Directors and Vocational Education and Training in order to provide necessary demand driven training.
V) Develop effective and efficient management information systems and programmes in liaison with other departments/ zones/ centres with a view to improve management systems and procedures,
VI) Promote VET special talents by identifying and developing individual talents with a view to promote creativity with VET.
VII) Consolidating overall VETA monthly quarterly, and Annual progress reports highlighting areas requiring VETA's intervention for remedy and submit the this/her superior and evaluation
