SOS Children's Villages Tanzania is an indigenous non government organization affiliated to SOS Children's Villages International, a worldwide child care organization that provides orphaned and destitute children with a permanent home and educational opportunities. Established 60 years ago, SOS Children's Villages International the umbrella organization, currently has Children's Villages and other projects in 135 countries around the world. Globally, it runs the SOS Children's Village Programs which has two main arms, i.e. Family Based Care based at SOS Children's Villages and Family Strengthening Programmes supporting families in local communities. SOS has been working in the United Republic of Tanzania since 1991, and runs three Children's Villages in Arusha, Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar and a Family Strengthening Programme in Mwanza. Assist the accountant on the preparation of the annual budget for Mwanza program.
Assist the Accountant in Managing the Organization's funds and make sure the organization runs according to financial budget frame

Ensure that all financial transactions (including grant disbursement and date are correctly implemented according to policies and procedures.

Family Based Care (FBC) Coordinator
Reporting to: Program Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
Providing strong effective leadership to the affairs of the Children's Village.
Supporting the children, youth, and SOS mothers for emotional and physical development.
Managing the CV program
Representing the Village in the local community, creating local networks that support the Children's Village program.
Being a role model for the children, youth and mothers.
This candidate should have knowledge and skills on partnership building with various take holders such as Government officials, NGOs, FBOs as well as with the private sector
He/she should be able to write the project proposals in order to enhance resource mobilization in the village

Co-ordinates sponsorship activities within the village.
Works with SOS mothers, Village Educator/Counsellor for children information on children and works with all the facility

Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and secure funding from internal & external sponsors / foundations
Assist the Project Manager in the development and implementation of fund development strategy within SOS Children's Village Tanzania.
Prepare and submit the proposals for acquisition of the grants/funds within required standards/ frames
Maintain communications with the public, media & private sector for SOS Children's Villages resource mobilization.

Reporting to: National Director
Roles & Responsibilities
Directs and co-ordinates all projects/ programs of SOS Children's Villages Programs in Mwanza.
Builds and develops a committed and effective staff team to support sustainable implementation of programs
Ensures that programs resources are used appropriately & efficiently.
Lead building and strengthening partnership with government, Civil Society Organizations, private sector and communities to ensure vulnerable children receive quality care, education and health.
He is overall in charge of all programs in Mwanza.

Leads the implementation of the programme management cycle in Mwanza.

Working experiences should include at least 3 years progressive work at key positions (in management) in a stretching modern working environment preferably in NGO.
