It's hard to believe that today 748 million people still don't have clean, safe water and 2.5 billion live without a toilet. The resulting diseases kill one child every minute.
WaterAid is looking for a Director of Policy, Research and Advocacy to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world's poorest communities.
Working within the WaterAid Tanzania team, the Director of Policy, Research and Advocacy will be responsible for developing an evidence-based influencing agenda, complemented by advocacy, in order to improve poor people's access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.
To be successful, you'll need to have a great track record in policy campaigns and dialogue with government and donors, experience of leading research programmes and of overseeing production of quality reports, publications, learning products. A proven ability to analyse data (qualitative and quantitative) and excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are also essential.
