Acacia Mining is a gold mining Company, listed in London stock Exchange. It is the targets gold mining company in Tanzania with a portfolio of three operating gold mines, Bulyanhulu, North Mara, and Buzwagi and several exploration and development projects, located across Tanzania 

Acacia Mining seeks to appoint a dedicated, self motivated and highly organized Mine Geologist, Travel & Accommodation; plant Metallurgist; Mine Geologist for this Bulyanhulu Gold Mine. Below are the details for the openings 

JOB TITLE: MINE GEOLOGIST – (1 POST) 
Reporting Line: Project Geologist 
Rotational Status: (28 days on/14 days off) day and night shift rotation 
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District, Shinyanga Region 

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
•    Leadership 
-    Compliance against the 6 acacia mining behaviours 

•    Mineral Resources 
-    Map back and walls and sample all active ore headings 
-    Map and sample all Alimak raises 
-    Active waste development faces are mapped 

•    Management information 
-    Daily Geology report and waste development reports completed with all collected data 
-    Sampling Data entered into database 
-    Samples dispatched to lab 

•    Team Membership 
-    Train and coach Assistants in on Job tasks 
-    All incidents are reported 

•    PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS 
Education 
•    Bachelor of Science in Geology 
•    Good computer skills, Determine software, ms office software Acquire Database software

Experience 
•    Two years geology experience in mining and exploration 
•    Underground Mining or gold narrow vein

JOB TITLE: MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM ENGINEER – (1 POST) 
Reporting Line: Dispatch Section Leader 
Rotational Status: 42 days on; 21 days off
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region 

KEY RESULT AREAS/EESENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
•    To ensure that reliable and accurate data is captured into the management information system and that the data is analysis in real time to support decisions for the operational front line leaders to maximize the equipment overall effectiveness 
•    Ensure the SmartMine UG dispatching system is fully functional and all functionalities are working according to design 
•    Ensure the SmartMine UG system database in accurately kept up to date and used to generate reliable relevant reports for business decision making 
•    Assist in the dormulation of undergroung mine logistic strategies, especially the allocation of equipment and crews 
•    Keep in contact with customers to confirm their needs for whole shift with production requirements 
•    Ensure all system updates are completed on time-including daily, weekly, monthly and annual production and equipment and plans 
•    Maintain good working relationship with mining operations and technical services engineers 
•    Perform low to mid-level trouble shooting of SmartMine Dispatch System, and ensure the application, communications network and data storage system are functional 

PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS 
Education 
•    Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent 

Experience 
•    Five years' experience in the mining industry with 3 years as a FLL 
•    Operating computer communications and dispatching system like Leica Jigsaw 
•    Proficient in using Microsoft Office and database management software 
•    Must be able to work rotating shifts 
•    Strong leadership, planning and communications skills coupled with a sense of urgency 
•    Good knowledge in database management 
•    Strong computer knowledge, SQL querying, report development 
•    Good knowledge of underground mining operations

JOB TITLE: TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION OFFICER - (1 Post) 
Reporting Line: Facilities & Services Section Leader 
Rotational Status: 42 days on; 21 days off 
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama district, Shinyanga Region 

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
•    To facilitate fight booking for both international and Domestic airline tickets 
•    To ensure all international and local traveler accommodation booking are confirmed where never necessary in most timely manner 
•    To ensure transfer are well planned before employee or visitors arrives to the Airport and from the airport to the Hotel or for catching flight connections 
•    To ensure Dash 8 booking are well managed as per Acacia policies and procedure 
•    Preparing of AERODRONE Monthly report and send to Dar es salaam ready to be sent to ensure compliance with policies and statuary regulations 
•    To ensure that all luggage are weighed to meet Acacia Standard operating procedure to meet both domestic and international 
•    To coordinate airstrip inspections by ERT and security department 
•    To facilitate approvals for the private charter which are expected to arrive on site with site visitors and Business consultants 
•    Circulate manifest on site Notice board for smooth communication for the employees, visitors and business consultants

•    To ensure transfers are well coordinated for travelers along the site by ensuring airport shuttle is available for all travelers 
•    Preparation for show and go show and no show reports which must be sent to the site HOD's after the flight departure 
•    Complete processes such as aircraft fueling, ration contact and other established procedures with the aircraft ensuring at all times 
•    Administer the provision recording and control of all aircraft landing and departure authorizations for the Bulyanhulu private airport/airship ensuring that there is compliance with the Tanzanian legislative requirements and BGML Policies and procedures 
•    Maintain the established recording and control database for all aircraft landings and departures at the Bulyanhulu Airstrip on a weekly basis and ensure this information is effectively communicated to all parties concerned and that the bookings are in accordance with the airstrip maintenance schedule 
•    Liaise with the Buly airport/airstrip ensuring that there are appropriate stocks at all time 

PROFFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL 
Education 
•    Diploma in Hospitality, IT information Technology, Public Relations or equivalent qualifications 

Experience 
•    Previous experience preferably in a Mining industry would be an asset 
•    Effect communication skills 
•    Ability to identify priorities and organize work accordingly 
•    Administration experience in the private sector preferably in customer service environment dealing with aviation activities 
•    Strong analytical skills

JOB TITLE: PLANT METALLURGIST - (1 Post) 
Reporting Line: Plant Metallurgy Section Leader 
Rotational Status: 42 days on; 20 days off 
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region 

KEY RESULT AREA/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
•    Ensure that employees and contractors adhere to safety and environmental standards that exceed worldwide industry standards and any applicable legislation Develop and promote a safe and Healthy work Environment 
•    Ensure adherence to all Acacia mining policies and procedures 
•    Be proactive in ensuring prime Product Protection 
•    Ensure the achievement optium and cost effective metallurgical performance through active participation in the activities of the metallurgy team, liaison with operations and maintenance and contribution to the ongoing training and development of process Operators 
•    Develop and maintain reporting procedures on production and cost by preparing daily weekly and monthly reports as required 
•    Assist in providing technical input for project evaluations to help determine appropriate capital expenditure proposals and/or plant/process modifications 
•    Conduct and report, or provide technical input, on research and development project for current and future process improvement 
•    Liaise with the Mining Department to exchange information for effective process planning and control 
•    Provide the technical input into the development of training packages, and ongoing training, mentoring and employee performance management, to develop and maintain safe, competent and result orientated Metallurgical team, and to ensure that employees gain new skills and achieve their full potential 
•    Support of staff to achieve objectives on-time and on-budget, and take appropriate opportunities to add value and enhance shareholder wealth are identified and implemented 
•    To carry out any other relevant duties as assigned by the Section Leader process metallurgy or Process Plant Manager 

PROFESSSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS 
Education 
•    Degree in Mineral Processing engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Experience and skills  
•     Minimum of 5 years Processing engineering, Metallurgical engineering or Chemical engineering 
•    Strong technical knowledge in metallurgy
