We are looking for two Communications Officers to play a key role in executing the Commonwealth Secretariat's communication strategy. You will be involved in proactive media outreach and a range of public affairs activities.
You will be supporting media strategy development, identifying multimedia opportunities and contributing to social media outputs to highlight our work. You will develop and maintain contact with journalists, coordinate and supervise press conferences, media briefings and interviews, and write press releases, briefing papers and speeches.
In addition, you will be identifying and facilitating key media slots for senior management to articulate Commonwealth messages, and help monitor external media coverage of the Commonwealth.
The Commonwealth works with 53 member governments in areas of economic, social and political development. We provide practical technical assistance, offering thought leadership and innovative solutions.
