Program Manager Blood Safety Program
Reports to: Director of Health services
Project End Date: One year but renewable.

Job Purpose:
S/he coordinates Blood Safety Program operations in the six regions in Tanzania mainland with related Zonal centers. Also facilitate technical assistance to Zanzibar as per Memorandum of Understanding.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures activities and budget comply with CDC recommendations in the Cooperative Agreement.
Prepare annual budgets jointly with the accountant and Director of Health Services and ensure timely submission to CDC
Prepare TOR and facilitate recruitment of consultants under support of Director of Health Services.
work closely with consultants to ensure quality and timely deliverables e. g IEC, coaching, mentoring as per TOR,
Review regional plans and budget, checked by DHS and submit to the accountant for procedures.
Monitor/Supervise regional activities as per plan of action to ensure quality implementation of mobilization, recruitment, collection and counseling activities in the 6 regions to meet target
Monitor all sub-contracted program activities by technical specialists and consultants.
Execute and maintain annual work plan.
Attend monthly/quarterly meetings with CDC and meetings organized by NBTS and other partners.
Compile narrative reports from the field and ensure timely submission to CDC.
Liaise with other HQ staff in uploading quarterly, semiannual and annual reports in the system.
Participate and provide support for resource mobilization for blood safety programme
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Health Services.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience.
Bachelor degree in Health Sciences/Quality management/Social sciences and other related field.
At least 3 years experience in project design and management responsibilities, including proposal writing, project planning, implementation, and performance tracking and reporting.
Experience in Blood Transfusion Services is an added advantage

Valid registration with Medical council or any other relevant professional body
