Head of International Advisory Practice

Head of International Advisory Practice
The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) is the only accountancy body exclusively dedicated to public finance. There is no doubt that austerity and the global financial crisis have focused the attention of governments and professionals on the importance of our work.
This is an exciting time to join.  In the year since our new Chief Executive joined we have rapidly deepened our global footprint to become the leading voice on strong public financial management (PFM). The number of non-UK students pursuing a CIPFA qualification is growing exponentially. We work closely with key international organisations to strengthen PFM around the world providing professional education and training to finance staff. We also have a number of services that have proven highly relevant to the needs of the UK public sector, including our Counter Fraud Centre of Excellence and Financial Management Model, which we believe will have real global resonance.
Against this back drop, we are now keen to better exploit the international opportunities we see and want to find the right person to build our international advisory practice. You will have the experience, networks and commercial skills to build on the great progress we have made so far, maximise our exceptional brand and excellent portfolio of opportunities and grow a practice that both strengthens global PFM and is also commercially successful.
So if you share our commitment to develop the public finance profession globally and want a proactive role in shaping the future focus of our work and priorities we want to hear from you. For an informal discussion on the role please contact Andy Perrin on 07827 242345.
To apply, please send your CV and supporting statement including current salary details and equal opportunities form to: recruitment@cipfa.org or post to Jo Westfall, HR Advisor, CIPFA, 3 Robert Street, London, WC2N 6RL.
Closing date: 26 November 2014.
