DBSC is a multi-functional shared service centre that handles DIAGEO-wide transactions across various world regions. The General Accountant Trainee is one of a team members who report to RTR Team Lead who reports 'RTR Lead in Regional Captive, Bogota.
Purpose of Role:
To support the RTR team in Bogota SSC, support the closing and the daily tasks
Key Outputs:
• Carry out timely, accurate and compliant Period End reporting process in Magnitude and SAP for relevant markets/entities for Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss statement, Cash Flow, Intercompany.
• Compliant processing of all journal types including Fixed Assets and ICO loans.
• Compliant GL reconciliation and GLOM maintenance
• Carry out Month End System processes (BA Clearing, Mass reversal of Accruals and Prepayments, Process Order Settlement, Plant Maintenance Order Settlement, Regrouping, Posting of recurring journal templates, stock invoicing, ICO revaluation, CAPEX settlement, Depreciation).
• Providing funds to other group companies and make the booking entries to these companies in SAP
• Initiate and allocate different types of intercompany payments to trading partners
• Performing month-end intercompany reconciliation with vendors and customers, supervising BTP run on a monthly basis.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Educated in Finance/Accounting /Business
• Results orientated and capable of working in a deadline driven environment.
• Has customer focus to be able to build excellent relationships with relevant internal and external customers
• Analytical skills.
• Driven, flexible, inquisitive, proactive
• Able to work individually and in teams
• Good business English, able to communicate effectively
• Fluent in Spanish
