Reports To: University Bursar
Duties and Responsibilities:
He/she will be responsible for;
Reconciling finance accounts;
Preparation of Journal Vouchers for various transactions;
Preparing statutory accounts and payments;
Update students' accounts and issue statements when necessary;
Handling and writing cheques and other payment transactions;
Verifying calculations working with the Accounts system;
Managing petty cash transactions;
Processing of monthly payrolls and midmonth advances;
Bank reconciliations;
Preparing Monthly cash flow statement;
Preparation of monthly financial report Management account and
Any other duties assigned to him/her by the immediate supervisor or University Management.
Qualifications, skills and Experience
Bachelor degree in Accounting & Finance / Advanced Diploma or any
other related field is the minimum qualification for the' post, CPA is an
added advantage;
knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures;
Knowledge in accounting software ie quick book is an added advantage
proficient in relevant computer applications and
Not less than two years experience in relevant field.
Remuneration:
An attractive package basing on MMU salary scale and benefits,
Tenure of appointment:
Appointment will be for a contractual terms, renewable upon agreement of both parties
