Technical Writer/Editor in Development Economics at UNICEF

Purpose:
UNICEF, the world's leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a consultant to assist with summarizing the financial and  economic data, both qualitative and quantitative, and assist in turning the data into Technical Working Papers, articles for publication, donor reports, and other products that can support health care decision makers and other stakeholders to greatly improve the predictability and sustainability of financing to achieve equitable and effective immunization services.

Minimum requirements and competencies:

• Advanced university degree in econometrics, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related technical field.
• At least four years' experience in technical writing, with a particular emphasis on economics, health systems analysis, and/or income inequality in low and middle income countries.
• Advanced skills in analyzing economics and health data using advanced functions in Excel.
• Familiarity with DevInfo, STATA, and familiarity with World Databank, OECD statistics, and similar databases.
• Excellent understanding of English grammar and the ability to convert complex concepts into clear, concise statements, while maintaining technical integrity.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships with diverse teams.
• Experience working on donor relations, communication with UNICEF field offices and reporting on donor proposals is highly desirable.
