Functional Manager for Internet Business Platform Area
Global Business Services is a function within Sandvik IT Global Shared Service responsible for the delivery and supply of Global Business Systems to the Sandvik business.
Internet Business Platform is a functional area within Global Business Services, mainly responsible for delivering web portals, mobility solutions and B2B services. The success of our service delivery relies on close co-operation with the IT Demand representatives, Sandvik IT GSS' Delivery organization and other supply units within IT GSS.
We are now looking for a Functional Manager for the Internet Business Platform Area.
Key performance areas
As Functional Manager you will lead the function in its efforts to meet targets and will be responsible for objectives and strategies for the team. You will also be a representative in the Business Service Management team and other forums where it is relevant to represent the function.
Your main responsibilities include:
  • Managing the function to ensure relevant competence in web technology solutions/methodologies, in order to provide business partners with guidance/proposals for innovative solutions
  • Definition and follow-up of objectives and strategies for the function
  • Leading the management team for the function
  • Financial responsibility for the function: budgeting and follow-up of financial result
  • Staff management, including allocating resources within the function and supporting the employees' long-term competence development, as well as managing outsourced delivery management and consultants
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, IT or another relevant field, as well as experience from managing IT delivery to businesses. For this role you also need to have well-developed leadership skills combined with strong IT operational experience. You also have knowledge in strategies, methods and tools for designing and delivering corporate solutions in the area of web-based platforms. Experience from global IT deliveryis an advantage, as is a background in and knowledge of the Mobility area.You communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing.
