RTR Process Governance Controller - Statutory Compliance The RTR Process Governance Controller's role is to own, improve, measure and control end-to-end RTR business processes.
Organizational Context
GDBS Budapest is a multi-functional Shared Service Centre that handles DIAGEO-wide transactions across various world regions. Processes in scope are: Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to Report (Internal Reporting and Intercompany, External Reporting and Tax), Planning & Reporting, Treasury. GDBS is a multicultural, multi-language environment.

Dimensions of the role


RTR Process Governance Controller reports directly to the RTR Process Governance SME Manager.
Market Complexity 
•All GDBS teams with various level, Outsource Partner teams including all finance functions
•Central Finance functions (Group Controller, PMG, Process Board, Group Tax, Central Risk Team, Central GAR)
•Diageo Markets
•External and Internal Auditors
•Central IS functions
•Cross-stream Governance Teams
Leadership Responsibilities 
RTR Process Governance Controller would be expected to be responsible for:
•Manage RTR related process and control improvement, policy creation independently and sufficiently in line with Diageo Policies& Procedure methodology. Act as an owner of the process and policy, proactively discover risk and barriers, and provide solution to eliminate it. Prepare the Steering, BPO and GPO decision-making points, implement the new processes.
•Manage decision-making and take the ownership on implementation of SOX and legal compliant end to end RTR processes and Policies, follow up the compliance with the global processes.
•Manage and build good relationship with stakeholders across Diageo and Outsourcing Centres to ensure that they are aware of all RTR process changes and following the global processes. Size of the stakeholders is around 300-400 people.
•Mentoring less experienced colleagues
•Coordination of external and internal audits for RTR
•Make sure that RTR processes are operated on a compliant way and risks are addressed and mitigated
•Act as a role model
•Constantly deliver great performance, grow yourself, drive issue resolution and priorities problems
•Provide project support
•Keep our process documentation up to date

Purpose of Role


•Ensure that market team are compliant with end-to-end global RTR processes - create and update process documentation/policies mainly focusing on Statutory Compliance
•Define and operate RTR global process control and measurements
•Plan and deliver continuous process and system improvements for RTR, liaise with other business functions to ensure integrated solutions
•Support local (GDBS) & in market leadership, work closely together with them
•Support process improvements
•Support RTR CARM / GAR / KPMG audits

Top 3-5 accountabilities


• Global RTR processes are followed – mainly in the area of Statutory Compliance
• RTR processes are measured
• RTR improvement plans are delivered
• Deliver control agenda (satisfactory audit ratings)

Qualifications and experience required


Qualifications
University / College degree in finance / business
Work experience
Working experience in a multinational corporate environment, with exposure to some of the following areas is an advantage
• 2 year experience with Shared Services Process activities
• Experience in any of the following areas:
- Indirect Tax
- Corporate Tax
- Statutory Reporting
• Great understanding of end-to-end RTR business processes with special focus on the Statutory Compliance area
• Knowledge and experience of implementing best practice, process improvement
• Ability to work to meet priorities and deadlines
• Great analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Fluent English
PC skills/System knowledge
MS applications
SAP
