Description
This is a Grade E position that will manage up to 4 Digital Birth Registration projects within the region and will represent the DBR team at regional level events and conferences.
This is a 2 year fixed term position
Key Responsibilities
- Overall Project and Resource Management
- Technical Support to all DBR projects
- Extending Influence at Regional and Continental level
Person Specifications
- Highly motivated individual that has a passion for ICT4D (Information and Communication Technology for Development)
- Good knowledge of civil registration processes and systems, in particular related to birth registration in Africa
- Strong relationship management skills needed to form partnerships with the public and private sectors
- Strong project management skills
- Practical knowledge of supporting changes in government practice
- Fluent English (French and Portuguese an advantage)
Qualifications and experience
- Masters in International Development, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or other related degree
- Over 3 years of experience of leading development programmes made up of integrated teams (preferably with technology, capacity building, behavioural impact and advocacy components)
- Over 2 years of IT system development (mobile solutions an advantage)
