Purpose of the Job
To procure goods and services according to TRA regulations in order to support efficient and smooth operations of the Authority.
Major Activities of the Job
(i) Receive requests to purchase from user departments.
(ii) Analyse requests to purchase and seek purchasing approval.
(iii) Advice approval to purchase of requested goods and services.
(iv) Prepare requests for quotations, evaluate and recommend award of tenders.
(v) Advice on the approval to issue LPOs or contracts.
(vi) Undertake follow ups on orders.
(vii) Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
(viii) Coordinate disposal of obsolete goods and documents.
(ix) Prepare responses on procurement related audit queries.
(x) Prepare procurement related plans and budgets.
(xi) Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Job Requirements
Qualification
(i) Advanced Diploma or University Degree in Business Administration or Logistics and Procurement or Materials Management or its equivalent from a recognized Institution/University.
(ii) Certified Supplies Professional (CSP or MCIPS) and registered by the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technician Board (PSPTB) or the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS - UK).
(iii) Postgraduate degree or Masters Degree in Business Administration or Logistics and Procurement or Materials Management or its equivalent from a recognized Institution/University will be added advantage.
Experience
Four (4) years of relevant experience

GENERAL
