Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to identify and work with proponent partners to conceptualise, develop, select and implement social projects in accordance with BG Brasil's approved tax incentives strategy and its Sustainability strategy. 
He/she will be:
- responsible for managing all aspects of BG Brasil's tax incentives strategy targeted at developing and funding social projects, with particular focus on culture and sports projects with educational contents;
- knowledgeable of the applicable tax incentive legislation to ensure project conceptualisation, development and implementation meet the schemes' requirement;
- managing relationships with proponent partners, advisors and where necessary third parties providing tax administrative support;
- influence and work with the key government departments responsible for the various tax credits to ensure approval for customised projects that support our sustainability objectives while qualifying for tax credits;
- responsible for managing project funding in line with the relevant internal governance procedures of BG Brasil.
 
The jobholder would be expected to hold the potential to successfully manage the increasing responsibilities and relationships that will result from the exponentially rising funding that will become available over the medium term.

Key Accountabilities

- Develop, maintain and defend a solid and detailed understanding of the tax incentives schemes that are avaiable to, and make sense to be used by BG Brasil in line with the company's tax incentives and social investment strategies;
- Develop BG Brasil's tax incentive implementation plan;
- Identify and engage with existing and new proponent partners;
- Support proponent partners in the conceptualisation and development of qualifying social projects that are in line with BG Brasil's tax incentive strategy;
- Identify, evaluate and select already approved projects for the receipt of funding from BG Brasil (e.g issuing public calls for proposals);
- Develop the internal and external process required to administer BG Brasil's tax incentive strategy, including sourcing third party support where this would be appropriate;
- Develop positive relationships with government entities and other stakeholders that are key for project approvals, delivery and evaluations;
- Monitor the execution of BG Brasil funded projects and evaluate the results achieved.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute

Experience Needed:
The jobholder should have proven experience in the design, implementation and admistration of social projects approved under tax incentive schemes, in particular culture and sports projects with education contents. Ideally, he/she should have proven experience or interest in education and have experience in working in and/or with a large company. Have expertise in the legal, financial and administrative aspects of tax incentive schemes. Be organised and experienced to set up the required management systems.
 
 
Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Attributes:Key attributes are vision, innovation and managerial capacity to work with proponent partner organizations to conceptualise and develop projects that meet the approvals criteria as well as be aligned with BG Brasil's Sustainability and Licence to Operate strategy.
He/she should have experience in project management and be able to effectively communicate internally and externally. A solid understanding of the legislative/regulative conditions applicable to the Brazilian tax incentive schemes is essential.
Academic background could be in economics, management, social sciences  and/or education background (arts/sports education, culture management, sports management, museum pedagogy) or similar areas.
