Senior HR Advisor
Context/Scope:
Serengeti Breweries Ltd (SBL) operates exclusively in Tanzania and is the 2nd largest beer company with a market share of 25%. SBL is a subsidiary of East Africa Breweries Ltd (EABL) – which is in turn partly owned by one of the world's biggest alcoholic beverage companies, Diageo. The company is an integrated demand/supply business with 3 operational breweries in Dar Es Salaam, Mwanza, and a third one in Moshi, which is situated in the northern part of the country near the Kenyan border. SBL's flagship brand is Premium Serengeti lager, which accounts for 50% of SBL sales volumes. The other beer brands are Tusker, Guinness, Tusker Malt, Kick and Pilsner.
SBL has 3 fully operational breweries in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Moshi with a combined capacity of 1.3m Hls. Moshi has a capacity of c600khls per annum and a scope to expand to more than 1 million in F14.

Purpose of Role:
The Senior HR Advisor provides end-to-end HR Service Delivery within their region – he/she will be responsible for resolving issues directly with employees and those forwarded by Line Managers or HR Business Partners. Their main focus will be on Employee Lifecycle activity covering resourcing, take-on and take-off, data management, contract generation, management of individual ER issues and providing advice on policies to line managers, employees and HR Management teams.
Top 3-5 Accountabilities
• Responsible for working closely with their HR colleagues on managing key end to end HR processes such as tracking and monitoring employee exit and employee on-boarding, job changes, etc.
• Provide support to HRBPs and line managers where required
• Accountable on a day to day basis for the data management and contract generation activities.
• Ensure agreed deliverables and service levels are met
• Focus on providing superior customer service to employees and line managers through building relationships and resolving case work
• Analyze metrics, reports emerging trends and integrates with Continuous Improvement team on actions and continuous improvement suggestions
• Track and monitors disciplinary cases where appropriate
• Research and manage non-standard individual employee cases including individual ER issues in support of the HRBPs
• Ensure data accuracy of Draft payroll and assure accuracy and visibility for sign off including computation and communication of quarterly Sales Incentive Plan payouts
• Provide support to HRBPs and line managers where required

Qualifications and Experience needed:
• At least 3 to 5 years hands on post qualification experience in a management position grained from a blue chip organization or reputable firm.
• University Degree in business or other social science.
• Up to date knowledge Labour Laws
• Business and market human resources practical knowledge
• Planning and organization Skills
• Good management and administrative skills
