Our client is a multi-national business with interests across numerous sectors. Due to the growth of the of the agribusiness, they require a suitably qualified and experienced individual to plan, direct and manage Agri business development activities, Agri products procurement and marketing across Africa and beyond.
Responsibilities:
Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income to an agreed annual target (Sales & Procurement), to increase year on year
Individual responsibility for new busines
Conduct competitor, market, micro and macro-environmental analysis
Develop and guide the Strategic Business Development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities.
Identify key geographies for sales of farm inputs and assess potential
Identify and develop sourcing model for produce, based on Indian market requirements
Develop supply chain infrastructure like aggregation, storage network
Assist country heads to st up sales and or procurement organization with relevant manpower
Build dealer network for selling farming inputs
Negotiation with farmers /co-operatives /traders for procurement
Evaluate team sales targets, procurement targets and execution plans
Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising and promotional planning through the Marketing department
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
A minimum of seven years' soft commodity trading experience
A bachelors degree in agriculture, and preferably a post-graduate qualification
Confident negotiator
Experience in Africa and South East Asia
Multi ethnic /culture team working and customer facing experience
Excellent Presentation skills / communication skills
Fluency in English
