BG GROUP Graduate Applications

BG GROUP Graduate Applications

Application process

There are several stages to the IGDP application process. This is to help us to work out if you have the skills and experience we're looking for and give you every chance to show us what you have to offer. Before you begin, we recommend  you read through the details below so  you're clear on the application process.

1. Online application

You must complete and submit your application online. If you have any difficulties (technical, medical or otherwise) and need any assistance or adjustments, please contact us. We can arrange an alternative format such as large print, Braille or audiotape. Unfortunately, we can't accept CVs by email.
You'll be asked to fill in details about your educational background, any additional skills you have, like languages, and a number of competency based questions. You'll also be asked to submit a CV and, if you wish, a covering letter.
The whole process should take between one and three hours to complete. We've set things up so you don't have to complete your application in one go, click here to go back to it at any time before submitting.
2. Online tests
For some business areas, we use online testing to assess your numerical and verbal reasoning skills. These tests last around 30 minutes each and you'll be given a chance to practise beforehand.

3. Interview and assessment process

If your online application is successful, we'll invite you to an interview with us. This may be face-to-face, by video conference or over the phone. It really depends on your location.
Your interviewer will be someone who works within the business area you have applied to and the questions they ask will generally be designed to test your technical knowledge as well as how your personality, and the way you work, will contribute to the Group.
If successful, you'll then be invited on to complete a full-day assessment centre.

4. Offer

If you succeed through our assessment process, we'll make you a formal offer to join us on the IGDP, which starts in September each year.
