Operational Training Coordinator
Purpose of the function:
The Training Coordinator coordinates all technical and operational training for Swissport Belgium Operations Department in line with the legal and contractual obligations and in line with the company's guidelines and policies. He/she ensures that these trainings are conducted in a cost efficient way and in line with the required quality standards and that training records are kept up to date. He/she will continuously strive to improvement and set up plans and actions accordingly, in agreement with the higher management.
Tasks:
The Training Coordinator will:
• Determine the training needs and priorities on the basis of the legal and contractual requirements and on the basis of the input received from the line management and set up training plans accordingly;
• Plan and coordinate the actual training, this includes amongst others:
o Set up training schedules and plan courses in line with the agreed needs;
o See to the actual availability of instructors in coordination with the resource planning; Coordinates availability of other training resource's such as classrooms and specific materials;
o See that courses capacity is filled to a maximum, in coordination with the resources planning;
o Collect feedback on the quality of the courses;
o See that training records are updated;
• Well in advance take steps tot train trainers or recruit internal or external (temporary) instructors in agreement with the higher management and company policies and procedures;
• Monitor and improve the quality of trainers by organising refresher courses, both on technical content as on teaching skills, support and coach trainers wherever necessary;
• Edit and review instructions and memos;
• Supervise the contents, material and the syllabuses of the different courses and keep them up-to-date;
• Keep the training matrix up-to-date;
• Seek for and follow up external financing opportunities (subsidies or governmental programs, …), propose training plans accordingly whenever feasible;
• Coordinate with HR department external contacts with professional training organizations such as: unemployment agencies, social funds sector, employers federations, unions, etc…

Profile:
• Higher education or equivalent by experience;
• Strong planning and organising skills;
• Good teaching and coaching skills, open and supportive approach;
• Strong communication skills, assertive, diplomatic, convincing;
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English;
• Knowledge of Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
